Volleyball Recap: First Assembly Christian Comes Up Short

First Assembly Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Memphis Christian Black Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

First Assembly Christian couldn't get the win, but they sure gave West Memphis Christian a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 28-30, 23-25, 25-14, 15-10.

First Assembly Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for West Memphis Christian, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

Looking ahead, First Assembly Christian will challenge Northpoint Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Memphis Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on Horn Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
