Basketball Game Preview: Post Falls Trojans vs. Lake City Timberwolves

The Post Falls Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Lake City Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Post Falls is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Post Falls is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Coeur d'Alene, who was ranked 13th at the time (Post Falls was ranked ninth). Post Falls narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Coeur d'Alene 44-42.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lake City, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They snuck past Coeur d'Alene with a 61-55 win on Thursday.

Lake City pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Post Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Post Falls didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lake City in their previous meeting two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 61-56 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Post Falls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
