Football Recap: Apache Takes a Loss

Apache was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Southwest Covenant Patriots, falling 47-14. On the bright side, the 14- point effort marked the Warriors' highest-scoring contest to date.

Apache's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Southwest Covenant, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apache will host Mooreland at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Warriors will be up against the Bearcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Southwest Covenant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thomas-Fay-Custer at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Terriers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
