Softball Recap: Monroe Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

While Monroe didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Carlisle Indians by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 17-0 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2022.

Monroe's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Carlisle, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe will venture away from home to square off against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carlisle, they will square off against Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
