Baseball Recap: Mammoth Spring Comes Up Short

Mammoth Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Izard County Cougars, falling 20-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in March.

Mammoth Spring's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Izard County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Mammoth Spring will welcome Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Izard County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
