Basketball Game Preview: Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF vs. Wichita HomeSchool Warriors

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF will venture away from home to take on the Wichita HomeSchool Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 20, 2024 two weeks ago. They came up short against Trinity Academy, falling 60-38. The matchup marked Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Wichita HomeSchool posted their closest win since January 13th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 victory over Reno County HomeSchool. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Sabres are ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wichita HomeSchool pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF came up short against Wichita HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in January, falling 57-50. Can Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
