Volleyball Recap: Columbia Central Starts off Right with Win over Lewis County + How To Watch

Columbia Central took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Lewis County Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

While Columbia Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-15, 25-20.

Anne Wolaver paced Columbia Central's offense, picking up 16 kills. Wolaver got some help from Allie Hill and her 28 assists. Hill was also a major player on defense: she and she shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with five each.

Lewis County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Columbia Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Shelbyville Central on the 21st. As for Lewis County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Mt. Pleasant on the 21st.
