Baseball Recap: Westmoor Takes a Loss

Westmoor managed to slip by Priory the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rams lost 13-7 to the Panthers on Tuesday. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Matthew Cote made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Westmoor: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise.

Westmoor has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Priory, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.

While Westmoor had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
