Softball Game Preview: MACCRAY Wolverines vs. Ortonville Trojans

The MACCRAY Wolverines will challenge the Ortonville Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ortonville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on MACCRAY, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, MACCRAY needed a bit of extra time to put away Dawson-Boyd. They came out on top against the Blackjacks by a score of 9-6.

Meanwhile, Ortonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeview.

Claire Kellen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Bailey Merrit was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.

MACCRAY's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Ortonville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
