Basketball Game Preview: Idaho Falls Tigers vs. Shelley Russets

The Idaho Falls Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Shelley Russets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-43, which was the final score in Idaho Falls' tilt against Bonneville on Wednesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Shelley didn't have quite enough to beat Hillcrest on Wednesday and fell 64-62. While losing is never fun, the Russets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Knights are ranked 17th).

Idaho Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Shelley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Idaho Falls came up short against Shelley when the teams last played on January 7th, falling 62-50. Can Idaho Falls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
