Volleyball Recap: Lone Star Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lone Star came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Sachse Mustangs by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Rangers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lyla Crowder paced Lone Star's offense, picking up seven kills. Crowder got some help from Kaitlyn Smith and her 12 assists. Kyler Birkelbach controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lone Star's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Sachse, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Lone Star is on the road again on Friday to play Plano East at 3:15 p.m. As for Sachse, they will be taking part in a tournament against Heritage at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
