Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mary Star of the Sea walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Lancaster Eagles with a sharp 12-2 victory on Tuesday. The Stars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Mary Star of the Sea's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-12. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 14-16.

Looking ahead, Mary Star of the Sea will face off against Garden Grove at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Argonauts' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Stars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Lancaster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
