Volleyball Recap: Callaway Starts Season with Victory at Home

Callaway gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Griffin Bears. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cavaliers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2022.

Leading Callaway to victory were Savannah Johnson and Kanylah Reed. Johnson had eight aces, while Reed had six aces.

Griffin now has a losing record of 1-2.

Callaway has already played their next matchup (against LaGrange), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Griffin, they will take on Jackson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
