Baseball Recap: Catholic Memorial Takes a Loss

Catholic Memorial dropped their record down to 6-10 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 14-3 to the Boston College High Eagles. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

As for Boston College High, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Boston College High's part, Matt Reardon looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Reardon has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Boston College High got a massive performance out of Wyatt Miller, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Miller a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Bohane, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic Memorial will square off against Malden Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Boston College High, they will face off against Central Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
