Baseball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short at Home Against West Monona

Riverside unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the West Monona Spartans on Wednesday, falling 15-7. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

West Monona's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Riverside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-3 defeat against Treynor on the 29th. As for West Monona, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-3 loss against Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute on the 29th.
