Recap: Sumrall Bobcats vs. Purvis Tornadoes

The Sumrall Bobcats entered their tilt with the Purvis Tornadoes with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Sumrall came out on top against Purvis by a score of 64-51 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Sumrall, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Purvis still got an impressive performance from Jacoby Robinson, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Tytus Bridges was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five assists and four steals.

Sumrall has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Purvis, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sumrall will face off against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Purvis, they will head out on the road to face off against Forrest County Agricultural at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
