Basketball Recap: Red Bay Comes Up Short

Red Bay saw some tournament action on Friday. They came up short against the Humboldt Vikings, falling 86-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (63), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Despite the defeat, Red Bay saw an underclassman step up: freshman Khalil Luster dropped a double-double on 29 points and 18 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Luster has scored all season.

Red Bay's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Humboldt, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Obion County the next time they take the court. Red Bay will head out to face Obion County at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Humboldt will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
