Volleyball Recap: Bridge City Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Bridge City duked it out with Pantego Christian on Thursday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1.

Anna Kelly paced Bridge City's offense, picking up 13 kills. Kelly got some help from Cambree Lacomb and her 15 assists. Kelly also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jensyn Yeaman, racking up two apiece.

Bridge City's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Pantego Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Bridge City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Dayton on the 21st. As for Pantego Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Hudson on the 21st.
