Recap: Osage Indians vs. Linn Wildcats

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Skyline, the Osage Indians were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 60-50 win over Linn. Given Osage's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Linn is ranked 184th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Linn still got an impressive performance from Kiana Hostetler, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Hostetler has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Vivien Baker was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Osage is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Linn, they dropped their record down to 12-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Osage will play host again and welcome Eldon, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Eldon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. As for Linn, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-37 win vs. St. Elizabeth on the 9th.
