Football Recap: Druid Hills Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Druid Hills's offense. They were dealt a 27-0 defeat at the hands of the Tucker Tigers on Friday. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Malachi Pace threw for 82 yards on 11 of 27 attempts. Vince Patterson was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards. On the ground, Jackson Hampton rushed for 53 yards.

Jace German was his usual excellent self, throwing for 130 yards and one TD while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushing for 48 yards for Tucker. Steve Campbell also deserves some recognition as he passed for his first passing touchdown of the season.

Druid Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Tucker, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Druid Hills will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northview at 6:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for Tucker, they are taking a road trip to take on Southwest DeKalb at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 9.6 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
