Baseball Recap: Bonneville Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Bonneville won against Hillcrest on Friday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Bees beat the Knights by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. Considering the Bees have won 15 games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lincoln Stuart tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.

On the hitting side, Taye Lords was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Christensen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Bonneville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matchups.

Bonneville's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hillcrest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Bonneville nor Hillcrest have any future games scheduled.
