Football Game Preview: Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs vs. Centerville Tigers

The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Centerville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Corrigan-Camden is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Leon on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bulldogs lost 40-14 to the Cougars. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.

Despite the defeat, Corrigan-Camden had strong showings from William Ratliff, who rushed for 102 yards and one score on only 11 carries, and Derrick Reagie, who rushed for 122 yards and one TD while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 52 yards.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Centerville challenged Normangee on Friday. The Tigers claimed a resounding 45-6 victory over the Panthers. The game marked the Tigers' most dominant win of the season.

Centerville's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Corrigan-Camden, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

Corrigan-Camden took a serious blow against Centerville in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 49-20. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Trae Phillips (who rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also caught one TD) won't be suiting up this time.
