Cardinal Gibbons won the last time they faced Fort Lauderdale and things went their way on Friday too. The Chiefs blew past the Flying L's 11-5. The Chiefs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 17th.

Cardinal Gibbons got a big performance out of Eddie Marshall, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Marshall has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Faison, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Marshall wasn't the only one making solid contact: Cardinal Gibbons kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Cardinal Gibbons' record now sits at 10-13. As for Fort Lauderdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardinal Gibbons will challenge Deerfield Beach at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bucks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Chiefs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fort Lauderdale, they will face off against Stranahan at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Flying L's are facing the Mighty Dragons at the right time seeing as the Mighty Dragons are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
