Volleyball Game Preview: Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles vs. Patoka Warriors

Brownstown/St. Elmo and Patoka are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Eagles will welcome the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Brownstown/St. Elmo has three straight wins, Patoka has 14 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Brownstown/St. Elmo picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They came out on top against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City by a score of 2-0.

Brownstown/St. Elmo easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Patoka didn't have quite enough to beat Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Patoka's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Brownstown/St. Elmo, their victory bumped their record up to 18-12.

Brownstown/St. Elmo was able to grind out a solid win over Patoka when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
