The MacArthur Brahmas will face off against the Brennan Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, MacArthur made easy work of Harlandale and carried off an 11-1 victory.

The team relied heavily on Aaron Villallobos, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. MacArthur is undefeated when Villallobos posts three or more RBI, but 5-14-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Castillo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
MacArthur was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Brennan came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 5-2.
Shepard Morris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Cayden Glass and Antonio Nunez did most of the damage at the plate: Glass went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Nunez went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Adriano Nunez was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Brennan's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for MacArthur, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. MacArthur has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Brennan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
MacArthur skirted past Brennan 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Brahmas repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
