Softball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to the Anson Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-8 two weeks ago.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Anson, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-12 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will venture away from home to take on Cheraw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Anson, they will face off against Monroe at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Redhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.42 runs per game on average), something the Bearcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
