            Football Recap: Creek Wood Red Hawks vs. Spring Hill Raiders        
        
		
        
        
            If Creek Wood was riding high  fresh off their  41-20 takedown of Battle Creek last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Hawks fell  42-34 to the Spring Hill Raiders on Friday.
 Despite the  defeat, Creek Wood had strong showings from  Odell Springer, who picked up 102 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns, and  Ben Singleton, who threw for 167 yards and two  TDs.
 Spring Hill got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Jonah Gipson out in front who rushed for 127 yards and two  scores on only 14 carries, and also threw for 101 yards and one  TD. Gipson's longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Spring Hill also got a significant boost from  Lionel Brooks, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.
Creek Wood dropped their record down to 1-5 with the  loss, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Spring Hill,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-3.
 Looking ahead, Creek Wood will host Northwest  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Spring Hill, they will head out to  square off against Dickson County  at 7:00  p.m.  on October 4. The Raiders will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
