Merrillville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for La Porte, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything went La Porte's way against Merrillville in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as La Porte made off with a 9-0 win. Will the Slicers repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
