Basketball Recap: Liberty County Bulldogs vs. Wakulla War Eagles
Make it ten blowout wins for the Liberty County Bulldogs this season. They breezed by Wakulla on the road to the tune of 54-24 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Liberty County.
Liberty County was led to victory by Caleigh Peddie and Gabriella Flowers. Peddie scored 15 points, while Flowers scored 18 points.
Despite the defeat, Wakulla saw an underclassman step up: Amariyah Donaldson dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Donaldson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cherish Bolen, who scored four points along with four steals.
Liberty County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Wakulla, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
Liberty County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Emmanuel Christian is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Wakulla, they will take on the Jaguars at TBD on Monday. Gadsden County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
