Soccer Recap: Lely Snags Ninth Win in Last 11 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lely walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Estero Wildcats a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Angel Otero and Kensly Gedeon scored both of Lely's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Lely is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5-4 record this season. As for Estero, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7-2.

Lely is taking a road trip to challenge Barron Collier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Estero does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
