Basketball Recap: Ferris Comes Up Short

Ferris saw some tournament action on Friday. They had to suffer through a 80-47 loss at the hands of the Sulphur Springs Wildcats. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ferris' defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Sulphur Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Ferris will venture away from home to square off against Kennedale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sulphur Springs, they and Lake Belton will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Sulphur Springs is facing Lake Belton at the right time seeing as Lake Belton is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
