Softball Recap: Viewpoint's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Viewpoint was riding high fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Grace last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Viewpoint Patriots came up short against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs on Thursday, falling 7-1. The loss was the Patriots' first of the season.

Viewpoint saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anniston Aragon, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Viewpoint's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for St. Bonaventure, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Viewpoint will venture away from home to square off against Flintridge Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Bonaventure, they will welcome Simi Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Bonaventure is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
