A Season-Best Performance from Adrian Sanchez Leads Glen Rose over Godley

On Friday, Glen Rose got the W thanks in part to Adrian Sanchez playing the best football he has all season. Sanchez picked up 175 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards.

Glen Rose pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Sanchez and Glen Rose will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m.

Braylen Benson Turns in Season-Best Effort

Braylen Benson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hillsboro to the win on Friday. Benson rushed for 104 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The win got Hillsboro back to even at 3-3. Benson and Hillsboro are on the road again on Friday to play Glen Rose at 7:00 p.m.

Canyon Evans Dazzles in Glen Rose Victory

Canyon Evans posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 30 yards. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Unfortunately for Godley, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Evans. Evans threw for 214 yards and four touchdowns the last time he and the Wildcats duked it out back in October of 2023.

While Ja'Marion Garrett delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Dunbar. Nobody could stop Garrett as he rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Dunbar has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Garrett and Dunbar will square off against Venus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jacoryn Johnson Turns in Another Game with at Least Eight Total Tackles

Jacoryn Johnson continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 17th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least eight total tackles. He produced his best game of the campaign : he forced a fumble and made 15 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

On the year, Johnson has averaged 11.5 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one forced fumble. This year he is already up to three.
