Football Game Recap: Cathedral/Cristo Rey vs. Pope John XXIII

Pope John XXIII fell to Cathedral/Cristo Rey 14-58 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Pope John XXIII were the clear victor by a 43-14 margin over Cathedral/Cristo Rey. Pope John XXIII were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

The victory bumped Pope John XXIII's record up to 4-0. Cathedral/Cristo Rey are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.

Pope John XXIII are packing up and heading on the road for their first away contest this season. They face off against Austin Prep next week at 7:00 PM. After both of those teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune. As for Cathedral/Cristo Rey, they will face off against Matignon/St. Joseph Prep. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
