Christophe Alexander posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Alexander and Mayfield will head out on the road to challenge Riverside at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Alexander's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Wildcats' three-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Alexander and the Wildcats surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Monday's match.
