Basketball Recap: Shadow Ridge Wins Going Away Against Westwood

While Shadow Ridge didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past the Westwood Warriors with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 68-51. The victory continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Beau Curtis, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 18 points. Those 18 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Schimdt, who posted ten points and seven boards.

Shadow Ridge's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Westwood, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Shadow Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 69-49 victory against Mountain Ridge on the 16th. As for Westwood, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2026.
