Basketball Recap: Rehoboth Christian Takes a Loss

Rehoboth Christian played a tough match on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 62-27 loss at the hands of the Thoreau Hawks. The defeat continues a trend for the Lynx in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now lost nine in a row.

Thoreau's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mychalyn King, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. Those eight rebounds gave King a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chenoah Yazzie, who went 7 of 11 en route to 14 points and seven boards.

Rehoboth Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Thoreau, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-9.

Rehoboth Christian has already played their next contest, a 53-43 defeat against Tse' Yi' Gai on the 24th. As for Thoreau, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-38 victory against Zuni on the 25th.
