Soccer Recap: Mountain View Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Mountain View kept a clean sheet against Lakeland on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Chiefs by a score of 2-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Mountain View's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Lakeland are ranked 515th).

Mountain View pushed their record up to 14-2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five matches. As for Lakeland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.
