Football Recap: Baptist Hill Extends Winning Streak to Three

Baptist Hill won the last time they faced Military Magnet Academy and Brayden Franklin did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bobcats breezed past the Eagles to the tune of 62-0 on Friday for which the team can thank Franklin, who threw for 198 yards and six TDs on only 13 passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Kilyn Gordon was Franklin's top target, picking up 79 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 57 yards.

The win (which was Baptist Hill's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.7 points over those games. As for Military Magnet Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Baptist Hill will face off against Branchville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will be up against the Yellow Jackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Military Magnet Academy, they will square off against Clear Dot Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
