Basketball Game Preview: Oaks Christian Lions vs. San Marcos Royals + How To Watch

The Oaks Christian Lions and the San Marcos Royals will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. One thing working in Oaks Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Oaks Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Golden Valley on Friday. The Lions enjoyed a cozy 70-54 win over the Grizzlies.

Oaks Christian found their leader in sophomore Hank Baskett IV, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. The game was Baskett IV's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Sullivan, who went 5-for-12 en route to 13 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, San Marcos lost to Bishop Alemany on the road by a 61-45 margin on Friday.

San Marcos' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Oaks Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Oaks Christian beat San Marcos 67-57 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
