Trinity Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 56-29 loss at the hands of Pine Ridge. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Trinity Christian Academy has suffered since December 7, 2023.
Trinity Christian Academy's loss on Thursday came despite strong showings from Haylee Morelli and Kaylin Spor. Morelli scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Spor scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 55.2% of Trinity Christian Academy's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Pine Ridge found their leader in underclassman Serenity Cressor, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 23 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cressor has scored all season. Brooke Murray was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six steals.
Trinity Christian Academy now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Pine Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Trinity Christian Academy will be playing at home against City of Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Pine Ridge will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Spruce Creek at 10:00 a.m. on January 20th. Spruce Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pine Ridge in Florida (Spruce Creek is ranked 39th, while Pine Ridge is ranked 495th).
