Recap: Midway Falcons vs. Jacksboro Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to the Midway Falcons, who are still winless after their 11th matchup. They were outmatched by Jacksboro on the road and fell 76-36. Midway was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jacksboro apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Cannon Valenzuela continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Jacksboro, scoring 24 points along with three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Brayden Rockey was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Midway has fallen quite a ways from their 26-8 record last season and are now at 0-11. As for Jacksboro, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Midway's road trip will continue as they head out to face Archer City at 9:00 a.m. on December 29th. Jacksboro won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wink at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Wink is ranked 1029th, while Jacksboro is ranked 1050th).
