Football Recap: Flanagan Comes Up Short

Flanagan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Everglades Gators and fell 40-0. The Falcons lost against the Gators in their previous head to head back in April of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 14-0 score last time.

Among those leading the charge was Leilah Lewin, who threw for 193 yards and three TDs. Those 193 passing yards gave her a new career-high. Another big playmaker for Everglades was Meilani Murillo, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Flanagan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Everglades, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Flanagan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Everglades has already played their next game (against Chaminade-Madonna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
