Soccer Recap: West Vigo Takes a Loss

West Vigo lost against Edgewood back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings lost 5-0 to the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, West Vigo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 291st, while Edgewood are ranked 143rd).

West Vigo has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's still a better percentage than their 3-11-1 record this season. As for Edgewood, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

West Vigo and Edgewood are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Vikings will face off against Greencastle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Edgewood, they will square off against Brown County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
