Football Recap: A Plus Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

A Plus Academy extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 4-4. They were dealt a 78-6 loss at the hands of the Whitesboro Bearcats. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bearcats from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Whitesboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whitesboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colt Fagan, who threw for 75 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 46 yards and one touchdown. Fagan's passing game has become a key predictor of the Bearcats' success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Rip Harper, who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.
