Volleyball Game Preview: Castlewood Warriors vs. St. Mary Cardinals

Castlewood is 8-2 against St. Mary since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Warriors will host the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Castlewood is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Castlewood came up short against Colman-Egan and fell 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Colman-Egan scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 18-25, 25-17, 25-17.

Meanwhile, St. Mary made easy work of Iroquois/Lake Preston on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

St. Mary never let Iroquois/Lake Preston on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-22, 25-13.

St. Mary's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Castlewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Castlewood beat St. Mary 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
