North County dropped their record down to 12-11 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Farmington Knights by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Zak Meador made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Pipkin, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

As for Farmington, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games.

On Farmington's side, Cooper Tripp was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, Tripp posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, earning one run and three stolen bases.

In other batting news, Jackson McDowell was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Coming up, North County will face off against Valle Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Farmington, they will host Dexter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bearcats have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
