David W. Butler's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 21 first-half points. Porter Ridge wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 7 to make it 21-7 heading into the break. David W. Butler were outperformed in the second half 13-21 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The win bumped their record up to 4-2. The loss dropped Porter Ridge back to even at 3-3.
David W. Butler will be playing at home against Myers Park at at 7:00 PM next week. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as David W. Butler skips in on three wins and Myers Park on six. As for Porter Ridge, they will face off against Independence.
