Baseball Game Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. Pine View Panthers

For the second straight game, Dixie will face off against Pine View. The Flyers will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Dixie is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Dixie didn't have quite enough to beat Pine View and fell 3-2.

For Pine View's part, Tristen Sylvester spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks. Sylvester also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Panthers are 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Porter Campbell was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pine View's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
