Lytle won the last time they faced Cotulla and Chase Guevara did his part to make sure it happened again. The Pirates enjoyed a cozy 88-70 victory over the Cowboys on Friday for which the team can thank Guevara, who almost dropped a double-double with 36 points and nine rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Lytle's points.

Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Krish Patel, who posted 18 points along with eight boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rene Barrera, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Lytle's record is now 12-9. As for Cotulla, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-13.

Lytle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 75-64 win against Hondo on the 6th. As for Cotulla, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-68 victory against Jourdanton on the 6th.
